Maybe you should stop treating your driving privileges as some type of joke. As you have said, you enjoy 'cutting it close'. Think about the money your parents have to shell out for all the damages you have done to your vehicle, not to mention their insurance rates just because you like to drive fast. If you want to learn how to stop, put yourself in their shoes. What if you had to pay for all the damage they have done to your vehicle? Until you offer to pay for your own mistakes, your parents have every right to remind you of their wisdom and superiority. They are not the ones destroying something that they worked hard to get.
